1993 Regal, Engine Cutting Out...
Ok, so I recently bought a '93 Regal Custom and it runs great 90% of the time.
However, sometimes when I brake and I'm idle for a minute or so (drive-throughs, long traffic lights, etc) my engine just cuts out on me. There's no sputtering or anything. It just suddenly cuts out quietly without warning. I'll be sitting there and I'll be like "Did the engine just cut off?" If I have to start going right away I can normally restart it and go without much issue (though the exhaust gets much darker and has a stronger gasoline smell) but if I remain at idle, it will cut out again. Typically, once I get it going the engine sounds slightly strange (though not too off) for a mile or so then sounds perfectly fine again. It really isn't a huge problem right now and it doesn't even do it every time I drive it some place but it it wouldn't be really expensive to fix, I'd really like to get it fixed if I had some clue as to what it was. Thanks in advance. -=The Prynce |
