Looking for some Hybrid teck
Hello, I was one of those guys that thought my Hybrid was going to get closer to the EPA's miles pergallon, doh.
What I am looking for is some info on what the batter under the hood does? And does it tie in with the batters in the back for the hybrid? I was told that the back batters do almust everything. Thanks, Jonathon |

Re: Looking for some Hybrid teck
Try the Toyota Prius part of the forum...
That is where Ford licensed the technbolgy from. The Prius folks have driving the hybrid down to a science. How come you didn't get the Toyota? Sorry...just gotta ask...my Tribute/Escape has not been the most trouble free...unlike my wife's Toyota. But I am an auto mechanic, so it is just an inconvenice and.... ouch...just cost me $2000 for a transfer case. Edit: Oops, just venting, because my transfer case went out. Re: Looking for some Hybrid teck
the battery under the hood is for vehicle electronics just like every other escape - the battery in the rear is for the electric motor end only.
