Radiator Question

The other day I had to get my Saturn pulled out of the snow and ripped one of the Radiator hose out. When I was feeling around underneath I felt was seemed to be a hook for a tow strap.. I guess I was wrong.

The car is a 1994 SL SOHC 1.9

My question is, where does these hose go to?

The hose I ripped out was mounted on the side of the radiator near the bottom on the driver side. The hose diameter is about 1-1/5 inches in size. I think it leads to the Transmission, but not sure. it was connected to the radiator with a brass fitting. not a clamp .
I am also not sure if Manual Trannys get cooled down from the radiator like Automatics do.

What's funny is that it is not leaking any radiator fluid at all and the radiator is full.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Radiator Question

all i can say is that manuals aren't cooled down with the radiator like autos are.

Re: Radiator Question

Do you have a/c? If so, you probably ripped out one of those lines.

Re: Radiator Question

i think it goes to the receiver/dryer first(in the left front wheel well) if it was charged i think you would have noticed when it broke.

BTW, the tow/recovery hook is under the rear bumper.
