Back of cigarette lighter

I have a phone charger that i want to plug into the back of my cigarette lighter so theres not so many wires and i don't want to make it looked junked up. Does it matter how i connect the wires? Thanks!

Well I dont know what year we are talking about here,
but if thiers two wires, one would be positive and the otehr ground.

If you only have one wire, usually orange then that is the positive(probly keyed power).
Then you would need to ground what ever you are hooking up.

Its a 99 GA and the phone charger has two wires...how do i know which one to connect. Does it matter?

When I was refering to how many wires I talking about the lighter. I knew you phone cable would have two wires.

You just need to figure out which wire is + positive and which is - negative. Your documentation that came with your phone should say which part of the plug is positive or negative.

If you cant figure that out, then maybe you should let someone who does know install this device.
