The Truck Is A 1991 s10 2wd extended cab truck with 4.3, Automatic.

First thing first.
Get a manual oil pressure test gauge and post back readings cold and hot. Manual or digital dash gauges? Any codes stored in computer or check engine lights?

manual gauges, check engine light comes on but mabe 5 miles down the road not when first started. turn truck off it go's off then comes back on 5 miles down the road. also i think check engine light cause is catalitic converter wire is not connected.
