Need help with o2 sensor

Hi I have a 2003 gts eclipse and my check engine light come on i have a scanner and it reads p0141. I cleared it and it comes back on after I turn it off and back on. If i do not turn it off the check engine does not come on. I checked the wiring and made sure everything was connected and it is. Can some one help

Have you considered that maybe the o2 sensor is actually bad and needs to be replaced? Any other clues that point towards it being bad? Lack of power, bad fuel economy, etc...

so you need to replace the o2 sensor? it's not hard. get a o2 sensor socket, some pb blaster, and maybe a torch if it gets too bad, and have at.

I replaced the o2 sensor and erased the check engine light but it still come back i dont know what to do next???

Are you sure that the CEL isn't giving you a code for something else now?

You check all the wiring to it and such to make sure its not shorted out?

the o2 sensors has 4 wires inside the one wire.. you know this right?

also. did you mix up the 2 black wires?

have you ever extended the o2 sensor wires?
