Big problem?

So I posted almost a year ago about having a hole in my intake tube that I pached with silicon and adhesive. Well yesterday the car started shaking a lot at red lights in Drive, so today I replaced the patch with new adhesive and decided to change the spark plugs as well. The spark plugs were a little white but not too bad, but what surprised me was that there was alittle bit of oil on each one, not a lot. Is that a serious problem, I don't plan on keeping the car except for maybe another two months or three. It's a 91' Escort GT with about 160,000, first time I've changed the plugs since I bought it at about 140,000.

Re: Big problem?

New spark plugs are really cheap. Just get the right ones.

Re: Big problem?

No it isn't a real issue although you may be looking at valve seals or rings in the future. White plugs usually indicate optimal burning. If you are concerned about the oil try a can of Restore at the next oil change. If the oil rings are leaking slightly this will help the problem and restore some of your compression.
