96 Plymouth Voyager w 37/P0743 fault

I have a 96 Voyager and the check engine light is on. The fault code is ENG: 37/ P0743 TCC Solenoid Circuit fault. The transmission was rebuilt about 1000 miles ago and has a new torque converter. Any suggestions on the new repair step?

Re: 96 Plymouth Voyager w 37/P0743 fault

My Haynes book for 1995 model says it's "An open or shorted condition detected in the torque converter part throttle unlock solenoid circuit." So it either means you have a bad connection to the lockup solenoid, or you have a bad lockup solenoid. That's my best guess. Check to make sure the wire that hooks up to the transmission is plugged in good. What transmission do you have?

No sure of the transmission. I am going to change the TCC solenoid and see if that cures the ailment. Thanks.
