2000 Navigator Front Brakes

Any idea what TORX bit is used to take off the front brake caliper bolts? I've tried a T-45, T-47, and T-50. No luck. It doesn't seem to be an Allen bit either.

Thank you, Mike

Re: 2000 Navigator Front Brakes

«2000 Expedition/Navigator Table of Contents»
«Group 2: Chassis»
«Section 206-03: FRONT DISC BRAKE»
«REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»

Caliper Removal

To Remove the disc brake caliper.

1 Remove the two caliper bolts using a T45 Torx®.

2 Lift the disc brake caliper off the front disc brake caliper anchor plate.

Someone may have substituted a non OEM retaining bolt..

Thanks, I think someone reemed out the T-45 size. I ordered new bolt from Ford today. I'll get the old ones out by brute force if I have to.
