99' Grand AM Head lamps & Adjusters

This Last week I had some problems with my Head light adjusters.
Well you cant buy these separately with out buying a whole new headlight housing.

I took one of the adjusters apart and attempted to repair it


After taking it apart and cleaning the rust and road grime off the threads.


So I used epoxy to glue the white adjuster housing but it wouldnt hold.
So I ended up using a zip tie's to hold the two halves together. The one center Zip tie is the only one that is holding it together. The one on the tip wouldnt fit through the headlamp mount bracket. A smaller wire might work though.


This one I put together backwards


Then I continued to break the adjuster mount bracket from the housing
Thats what I get for working in the dark, and it was 15 deg
Epoxy+duct tape held great

Because the adjuster piece slides into a grove on the head light mount bracket it holds together,
untill you pull the light housing out again....

So it works for now, but what will I do if it breaks again.
Well I looked on Ebay and found a pair for $137 + shipping.
Here they are below.
I do have to use needle nosed pliers to adjust that jerry rigged adjuster.



I stoped in and asked my local DMV if these were legal for street use and they could not find it any where that the lens had to be yello.
I know in some states it has to be yello.
Though It has an amber bulb in it anyway so it will flash yello colored.

That is a good deal, and the adjusters look like they might be better and not crap out.

What do you guys think clear or stock headlights ?

Clear all the way!!!! There's also another set I've seen on Ebay the inside lens housing is black instead of chrome. I like that look also. Is this for the GT or SE? either way it would look good!

I saw the black ones, dont realy like them to dark.

This is on the GT,
the SE wouldnt be a sleeper with those clear ones

I got my tax check yesterday, so I have this hole buring in my pocket
