Question????

Hope this question hasn't been asked a million times, anyway i am currently building the 2001 impreza wrc car, and have painted the body and let to dry 4 a week, i noticed that i got a orange peel finish, not really that bad . after putting the decals on i want to apply a clear coat, and i was wondering if i need to rub/polish out the orange peel finish before applying the decals/clear coat?
