Slow Take Off

hey guy's my 79 just wont take off like it supposed to.i can floor it and it takes about 20 seconds to drag to bout 45-50mph and changes gears.compression or tranny?also i have a 4.4l (267),can you tell me which one is in it...th200 or th350.thanks guy's
