Need Advice quick please 1986 blazer
Im about to buy a 1986 blazer s10 tomorrow .Its an auto with the 2.8 tbi engine.It has 150,000 miles .Does it still have life?I drove it and it drives fine.But are these trucks known for high mileage?the gr.uy wants 975 $ for it.Body and interior are fair.....

if i do recall those trucks are hit or miss...the ones i have seen have done fairly well (200k) i hope that is somewhat helpfull for you im sure some others will chime in

The 2.8 is a very durable, very sluggish engine. The transmissions (700R4), assuming it is an automatic, were not the best those years, so make sure that tranny feels/looks good. Take it on the highway and go for a good boot if you can, make sure it shifts through all the gears and you have TCC lock up. The 2.8's used a specific 700R4, so you can't just get just any tranny. Of course, if its a manual, then you don't have to worry. Other than that, it still has all the other usual problems thee trucks have.
