2006 limited Mirror option

Got a 06 hemi limited with Overland options.
One of the options is "folding mirrors"
Logic told me they would fold inward(car washes, etc)
Dealer says mirrors plate folds down when I put it in reverse, which it does.
Nice for looking for objects that i can't see, but is not what I thought this option does.
Any one seen anything like this?
P.s. Option had to be programmed. All with power mirrors can have this option programmed at the dealer

Re: 2006 limited Mirror option

Your Overland should have power folding mirrors. If it does, the switch on the drivers door is what controls it.You know how you turn it to select the left or right mirror, well it will have a third position, straight back. When you turn it back, the mirrors fold flat against the doors.
