Sounds cool, I live about 15-20 minutes from St. Louis in Godfrey/Alton Illinois area. It handles like it's on rails and it honestly rides better than when I had my stock setup. I'm very happy with it.

BTW: That picture was taken by the bluffs a few yards from the Great River Road... it's always rated as 1 or 2 in magazines as one of the Best River roads in the US. It gradually twists and turns around the Mississippi and gives you plenty of room to open it up or max out your car. It's an awesome 4 lane road than spans for miles, about 3 minutes from my house. Bluffs on one side, river on the other. It's a neat experience.

nice nice. looks like it was supposed to come like that. that plus ride quality is how you tell a good street coil/spring setup.

Talking Re: Nismo Coilover Drop Pics

Hi,

I'm kind of new on this car, are you using the same old shocks or you changed the Shocks + the Coilovers?....and sorry for the question, I had a 92 prelude before and I had on it tokicos shocks and springs, which were great!, I'm trying to adjust my Sentra SE 01 to act like my old lude jejej...I have heard that coilovers makes your car jump like a boat when you pass a speed bump jeje...correct me if i'm wrong :-)

Thank you for your help i'm going to start to work on my Sentra..i'm fallin in love with it jejeje..

Re: Nismo Coilover Drop Pics

i dont know what jejejje means but...
first of all you should define what you mean by coilovers. these are coilovers

coilovers dont make your car do something you dont want it to do because they are fully adjustable

these are NOT coilovers.

these are called sleeve overs and suck more dick than a homeless hooker.
this is probably where you heard they give your car the ricer bounce.

also this is all moot because your prelude has a much better suspension than a sentra, and it will be more than hard to make your sentra handle like a prelude.

that said, you can do something with a sentra suspension, just dont drop it too far, and keep the springs/shocks/sway bars somewhat similar to each other as far as stiffness/control is concerned.

I always look forward to your replies, slideways.

My Nismo's weren't adjustable, btw. Not all coilovers are.

I know he has a 1.8, but I thought a spec could outhandle a prelude?

Thumbs up Re: Nismo Coilover Drop Pics

thanks for your reply slideways, yeah I had the wrong ideas about coilovers then, I thought the "dick suckers" ejje..were the coilovers, I got it. Those are what kids usually use to drop their civics and you can see them bouncing like boat on the highway lol.

And for ProZach626, don't get me wrong but the prelude and spec for me are two different cars, In my opinion you can't compare the prelude's handle with a spec. I like sentras now, but prelude are glued to the road. lol....I gotta try a spec with the wet road and see what happen...but thanks also for your opinion.

Re: Nismo Coilover Drop Pics

idk about a 1.8 or an SE, but the spec v sentra will give a prelude all it can handle, esp with wider than stock tires

Re: Nismo Coilover Drop Pics

nah teh nismo suspension you got is technically just a spring/shock combo. which is 10,000 times better than sleeve overs or lowering springs on stock struts.

btw a properly set up prelude will always outhandle a sentra.

its just the nature of it all.
prelude has double wishbones front and back, a sentra has mcpherson struts in front, which arent horrible, but arent great either. and the sentra has torsion bar rear suspension, which was created for minivans as a slight step up over leaf springs. sentras can handle, but the prelude's limits will always be higher.

Re: Nismo Coilover Drop Pics

meh it would be just as good to grab some koni dampers and some eibach springs, its basicly the same thing only like 500 dollars cheaper, if you can find a deal on the nismos for like 5-600 they might be worth it as they are plug and play, you dont need a spring compressor or anything to install them, they just bolt right up

Re: Nismo Coilover Drop Pics

and the prelude runs the slalom 3 mph slower than the spec v at 60.2 mph as well as being .84 rather than .89 on the skidpad like the sentra is, porsche and bmw use macpherson strut setups from the factory and although there are probably better setups out there i like my rear beam, i can get it to dog leg every now and then if i take a corner just right. point of story, driver matters more than your setup but it can help, i think i could squeeze a bit more than 63mph out of the slalom even on stock tires and suspension so my numbers would be even better than the test numbers, mod your prelude, go on, do eeet........
