Re: Oil Leaking From Muffler

I'm thinking extreme valve seal issues, otherwise it would be hell to start. Bad rings would mean a lack of compression.

Re: Oil Leaking From Muffler

no offense intended but are you sure its not just dirty water condensation from inside the muffler? water will condense in there and turn black obviously from all of the dirt.

Agreed, normally the exhaust is too hot, and oil will go up in smoke when it touches the hot exhaust system.

Yeah, if you were burning oil it woulden't come out of the exhaust in liquid form.

Re: Oil Leaking From Muffler

This is actually a drain hole for condensation in which it mixes with carbon to make it seem to be a oily substance it's H20. The drain hole is normal it keeps the muffler from prematuraly rusting out .
