Out of curiousity...

I was wondering would a ZC DOHC head fit on any other D-series blocks that originally came with a SOHC head? I searched and read over about 20 different threads and couldn't find an answer, other than a D16A1 that came in 87-89? tegs head wouldn't fit any newer sohc d-series. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanx

Re: Out of curiousity...

It won't - unfortunately - it only fits on the zc dohc block - from what I hear the head bolt holes are off and won't line up with any sohc block.

Re: Out of curiousity...

No, it won't fit. However, I do remember seeing a thread on some ZC site where someone actually managed to slap a DOHC ZC head on an A6 block, but not without MAJOR fabrication, cutting etc. to the point where it really was not worth it. I wouldn't bother with it if i were you.

Oh really? Damn, i didn't know about it how it turned out. Seems like a pointless thing to do anyway.
