Infrared system?

First of all I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, then again I spent about three minutes trying to find which forum would be most appropriate but there wasn't one that really fit the bill.

Anyway, a few years back Cadillac put some little infrared sensor system in their cars, it would detect bodyheat from people and animals in a certain radius around the car. Then, inside the car there was like a little LCD screen where little dots (representing the people/animals) would be displayed.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I'd just like to find out if you can still buy these infrared/bodyheat-sensing systems. I live in an area where there are TONS of deer and I just feel like one of these days I'm going to smack one and my car will be a goner. If they still make these infrared/body heat-sensing systems (or whatever the proper name is) I'd like to buy one, you know - anything to be safer.
