Gearbox identification and specifications

I have just purchased a 1990 JDM Honda CRX SiR (EF8) 1/2 cut for my early mini project. How can I identify which gearbox it has, the final drive ratio as well as to whether it has an LSD fitted without dismantling the box? I have a spec sheet which lists the transmissions for this car as:S1/J1 /Y1/A1.What do these stand for? Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you have the spec sheets, didn't it have the answer to your question? As far what they stand for, they're just tranny codes as far as my knowledge tells me. I do believe that the Y1 trans come with the stock LSD. That or the S1. I forgot. It's been awhile. Anyone else like to input some info?
