2001 COugar Lightbulb Replacement

Hi there all,

Is anyone familiar with how to easily change out the headlights in a 2001 Cougar. It apprears that you can remove a back panel, but on the driver side there are multiple items in the way.

I had another person mention that the entire light unit can be removed, similarly to a ford explorer.

Any ideas of input would be appreciated.

Re: 2001 COugar Lightbulb Replacement

It tells you how to do it in the maintenance and care section of the owners manual. If you do not have one you can see one online here. https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp

go to page 249 of the online manual. I'm not sure if the page numbers are the same for the paper owners manual that come with the car.
