Re: Yamaha Yzf-R1 (Tamiya)

Looks really good Steve. Looks like the front rotors could use a wash to bring out the cross drilled holes. Other than that a nice clean build all around.

Mike.

Re: Yamaha Yzf-R1 (Tamiya)

Great paint job. Another thing that looks great is the chain, not over done but the links are well seperated from the sprocket wich can be a bit hard to achieve. I agree about the front discs but I think you shall pick out a .5 mm drill set and drill those ventilating holes out. Looks SO much more realistic.

Again, great job!

Great job on the YZF-R1. Nice detailing and paint.

What did you paint the wheels/rims with? I really like that shade of silver.

The wheels were painted Tamiya TS-30 Silver Leaf.

I agree with you both.I almost drilled them out during construction.I suppose I could still do them now without too much of a problem.
Thanks for all the positive comments guys, much appreciated.

Re: Yamaha Yzf-R1 (Tamiya)

Looks good. Well build and painted.

About drilling the discs, look out for the backside. You will have some plastic sticking out . This is not so easy to remove with the discs in place.

Keep up the good work.
