A/C not Draining Properly

FYI!! I had issues with my wiring being burned up (specifically to the fuel tank). The wiring was replaced and van starts ok now. But at the time shop wasn't sure why it burned up. Turns out its because the A/C isnt draining properly. Instead of draining out underneath the car, it is draining down a channel that runs right by the drivers seat. And that is where all the wiring is. So my wiring got wet and shorted out. That is also probably the problem with my TPS going bad all the time. Too much voltage is getting sent out from there. The 5 volt wire or something like that.... So I am going to have the elbow put on to reroute the drainage in the near future. Definetly before summer! I just bought this van in October and am now paying dearly for not doing better research....So anyway, if you notice your A/c is not draining right--DONT LET IT GO! May cause more damage than you think!

Re: A/C not Draining Properly

Research these forums. That is a good thing to do if you own one of these vans, or any other vehicle for that matter. There is a link above the first thread which is labeled "Search this forum" and you can click on it and add a word or phrase and it will bring you to any relevant threads within the forum on your topic. This is a good way to find out common issues members are experiencing with their vehicles. There have been threads in the past few years related to poor drainage from the a/c and water collecting within the vans. Other members have even posted their "fixes" to resolve the problem as well. Hopefully your post will help someone else diagnose a problem they are having with their van as well, which was similar to yours.
