sunfire theft system and service light on with dying battery

wife has a 2000 pontiac sunfire. month ago starter went. replaced starter. week later weird elect. problem starts. dash goes dead. all gauges go to 0 and all dash lights come on and off trip reads error. next morning battery dead, so i thought. jumped car. tested alternator. 10 volts. replaced alternator only getting 12 volts until theft light comes on then voltage drops. im pretty sure problem is in theft system. lock cylinder prolly bad. tried doing the 10 min reset for the key. failed. passlock 1 and 2 are suypposed to kill the fuel not drain the battery as far as i know. so im kinda confused. has anyone known of passlock draining battery with an active drain and killing the charging system. scan with diagnostic and communication loss at bcm. passlock 2 will send the resistence code via yellow wire from the lock houseing to the bcm to allow the car to start. did my research now asking for help. can passlock kill the battery and if so are any of the so called bypass procedures valid? ive read up on the years surronding 2000 and it appears to be a problem for alot of others. battery starter and alt are tested fine. anyone who has had a sim ilar probloem please feel free to respond directly to my email [email protected]
