Headlight Replacement

Recently, my headlight lamp when out on my 03 Chrysler Sebring LX Sedan.

After purchasing a new lamp, and carefully following the manual, I've come to understand that I have to ?pry? the headlight assembly out of the car. Yes, the manual actually uses the word pry.

After unscrewing a few bolts, and removing push-in caps, the manual actually instructs me to pry the entire assembly out of the car.

I thought that maybe with a little pressure it might pop out, but after some strenuous prying it isn't 'popping' out. I don't want to break the headlight, so I'm trying to be ‘pry’ as gently as I can.

Is there an easier way to do this? or am I completely misunderstanding the manual?
