93 Thunderbird Tachometer Help

I have a 93 Thunderbird LX 3.8
Everything runs fine except the tachometer does not register.
Gauge, Wiring, etc?
Any Thoughts
Thanks

Re: 93 Thunderbird Tachometer Help

Welcome to the forum. As you thought, it could be the tach itself or somewhere in the wiring and connections. See my post in the Tech Help thread to see where to get or buy wiring diagrams so you can see where all the connectors are located. You can probably buy a tach at your local junk yard for a reasonable price.

Re: 93 Thunderbird Tachometer Help

When I had my 93 the same thing happened.. It was in cold weather, so I smacked it, and there it went!!
Yours is probaly something more, but just give it a shot on your way to the junkyard, ya never know

Re: 93 Thunderbird Tachometer Help

Thanks Guys,

It was the tach and I got a replacement at salvage for $15.00. The gauges on this car are really easy to replace. The trim and glass come off easily and then the different gauges just pop out of the cluster. It only took about an hour to fix. Thanks again.
