computer relearn procedure
How do you perform a computer relearn procedure on a 2001 Olds Alero?

Re: computer relearn procedure
What engine do you have?
Technically the PCM should be reset and adaptive shift information (Taps) cleared with a GM Tech II diagnostics scan tool. But you can try disconnecting the battery negative for a few hours or overnight. Some people claim the PCM module was put into re-learn mode. The latter part is free and of course the first part will probably cost since it has to be performed by a GM dealer.

Re: computer relearn procedure
Thanks... just by driving it down the road the computer was reset. The car is fixed now, but had the anti-lock brake light come back on. I have no idea why.
