Re: turbo/supercharger

STS sells a turbo kit and procharger sells a supercharger.

with 133K most people will say no way. Will it give you more power? but for how long? thats the unknown. I would get rebuild the engine or get a different one before hitting the forced induction route.

Re: turbo/supercharger

Whatever you do, make sure to get an intercooler too. Better safe than sorry.

Re: turbo/supercharger

im a fan of turbo setups whether its rear mounted or in the engine bay. plus its a little more economical. but with the supercharger you have instant power so...thats up to you.. you will be spend 3-4 thousand for a new kit either way

Re: turbo/supercharger

u will hear different from everyone...the bottom line is u will break sum shit no matter what the hell set up u go with....just gotta build the damn thing correct from the getty up! n2o is as safe as the way u build it. i havent blown my shit up and this is the second car im spraying...out of 20 people i know with it i may be able to say 1 person had a problem with spraying. but power wise im talking about a beast...i guess u would need to go S/C. i dont want my car at 500hp all the time, i just want that when i need it so spray is good for me

Re: turbo/supercharger

If you do get forced induction, you'll have to keep it at low boost, until you rebuild the engine. Don't want to risk anything with an older used engine.

Re: turbo/supercharger

DEFINATELY LOWER than 8psi. Stock LT1 static compression is a stout 10.5:1. The most boost I've heard recommended on a stock LT1 on pump gas is 8psi intercooled and 6psi non-intercooled. Seeing that yours has a considerable amount of miles on it, I wouldn't push more than 4psi. But that's me and an estimation, no real proof to back that number up. Just keep in mind LOW BOOST.
