Could anyone tell me where the air compressor and dryer is located on a 97 Conti? Thanks.

Re: 97 Conti air compressor

The compressor is located at: Right hand front fender apron.

The drier is attached to the compressor manifold.

Thanks Towncar. Is this an easy (do-it-yourself) part to replace? My compressor has gotten very loud recently. I don't have have any leaks in the suspension though. I'm assuming the compressor is just getting old and will need replacing very soon...

Yep, it's a simple swap. Check around for best prices. Also scan these forums for which brands to avoid, and which are recommended. I've seen some threads with people dog-ing some brands. I would hope they all come with installation kits including "O" rings, seals & rubber mounts.

Browse the LoL Conti forum for recommendations too.

Also, double check that the extra noises are not coming from worn compressor mounts.
