Re: Help me out please!!!!!1
93-97 LT1 98-2002 LS1
LS1 is a new design pushrod v-8. all aluminum block. Excellent engine, easily makes power but parts can be pricey ~320hp stock LT1 is based off of the original small block v-8. Some slight changes here and there. Its old technology now but still a great and proven engine. ~275hp stock

Re: Help me out please!!!!!1
heres laymans terms, in case you're thinking someone swapped it... if the top's square and silver and the air intake goes off to the side it's an LT1. If the top's black and curvy and the air intake is straigh ahead of the engine, above the radiator its an ls1

Re: Help me out please!!!!!1
looking at a superchip some small stuff here and there, like headers, cat back exhaust system, new rims, cat converter, what i really want to do is upgrade from a automatic tranny to a manual, you know there ain't nothing like going through the gears, and maybe some 410 gears. and maybe thinking about a turbo. Thats about it. oh and a shift kit.

Re: Help me out please!!!!!1
I bet butting a manual tranny in an auto would be a pain. Dealing with the clutch and stuff. Good luck with your plans
