Couple more noob ?'s

I'm having a real hard time trying to find info on people who have done mods to their K20a3.. With no luck so it's leading me to think it's not a good motor to boost with.. I know some vtecs use the intake and exhaust but mine only does it for the intake..

So which leads me to a few questions since I've searched the internet forever.. Even went to a site dedicated to the K series but again nothing on the K20a3... It has 160hp stock and runs a blazing 16 in the 1/4 (some SI, eh?). I'm would like to run mid to high 13's on pump gas. A swap is out of the question, sorry...


And before I begin, I would get this all done by a pro..

1. Could I make the engine use both intake and exhaust by replacing some parts?

2. Is it affordable (and practical) to replace the cam with a high performance one?

3. Would it be better to just get a turbo and just boost to the highest setting on stock internals?


I know I'm a huge noob but I'm really in love with this Honda and would like to get alittle more WAAAAAAAA.............BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHH when I hit 4k...

Also, not looking to spend buckets of dough either.. Around 4k..

I'll try to keep looking and going back 4 years (was going back 2 yrs on a bunch of sites) to see if anyone has any good info and tuning to their K20a3...

Well I've looked some more and have found a few more peeps who've put on turbos with some success.. And I have a local place in Houston that is a Authorized dealer for Greedy but looking at the price (4k).. Not including install and tuning.. Honestly for that price maybe I should just do an engine swap with the best engine I can stick in it..

Try www.k-series.com thats my personal favorite. www.ephatch.com has some stuff too but there is a lot of stupid crap to sift through there.

I found ephatch today and I'm glad.. Didn't think I'd find to many more people with my car and modding it to boot.. Great site for hatchback owners..
