Question stater swap?

I have a 1987 Mercury Cougar LS 3.8L and the starter just recently went on it. Now I have a spare starter from a 1985 Tbird 302 I was just wondering if the starter from it well fit in the cougar. thx

Re: stater swap?

Look on a starter for a part number and see if it is the same.
Since Kragen lists the same starter for both cars, it is a definite possibility that both both motors used the same starter. Compare the replacement starter to the one you want to replace.
