Faulty dashboard lighting

It all starter by the turning signals getting on when i turn on the lights and if the lights were off and step on the brakes the dashboards light will come on, and tonight all the dashboard went dark. Any ideas of possible cause. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Faulty dashboard lighting

Year and model?

Could be a number of things. These trucks do weird things when there is a problem (even minor) electricly.

1. Bad ground connection. Check them all.
2. Bad trailer wiring harness if installed. If you have one try disconnecting it.
3. Brake light bulb or socket with bad connection.
4. Bad/corroded battery terminals.
5. Alternator failing.

Those are the most common.
