wiring problem
All right guys I need some Technical advice before I continue to tear apart my dash and into my wring harness. Well My 94 accord Speedo is on the frits. I removed the VSS and checke to se if it was wroking and also trouble shoot and check the wires.
here is whats going on The vehicles speedo pegs out all the way as soon as you turn on the key. now at times when driving it it will operate normally then jump all the way pegged out. While shooting the wires I found a constant 4.6 volts running through the ground wire that goes to the VSS plus when I even unplug the VSS the speedo still does teh same thing. I need some one advise at were to llok for this short. is there any one on here that know the wiring harness and electrical systems on these things that can point me in the right direction. ![]() jeeprunner81View Public ProfileSend a private message to jeeprunner81Send email to jeeprunner81Find More Posts by jeeprunner81Add jeeprunner81 to Your Buddy List |

Re: wiring problem
Check the connector at the PCM for water/corrosion/short. 4.6v sounds like the pin-out voltage for another terminal on the PCM side...is anything else acting funny?

Re: wiring problem
PS check any connectors where the harness passes through the firewall, etc too...common place for things to get crossed up by condensation...
