Bearing Grease

i have a 72 lincoln mark iv, but this forum is more active so im posting here.

was wondering if anyone could give me instructions on greasing my front bearings? and if anyone had information on where all the grease tips are, so i can give her a good lube job. its been sitting for years, so i dont want to miss any.

Grease fitting locations...

- tie rod ends (inner and outer)
- upper ball joints
- lower ball joints

The front wheel bearings aren't greased via a fitting. You will need to remove the front hub/brake assembly and re-pack the front wheel bearings.

Your upper and lower control arms *may* have grease fittings but I doubt it (it's been a while since I looked under a '72 Lincoln).

Lastly, you upper/lower ball joints and tie-rod ends will only have grease fittings if they have been replaced with after-market parts at some point in the past. Being a '72 I'm assuming they have. Factory Ford parts typically have no grease fittings.
