Coolant drops under my car

I was wondering is it normal for the chev impalas to have drops of yellowish coolant underneath the car in the winter time, i have not noticed it it the summer, it seems like it's only there when it is around -5 to -30 degrees after I park her after driving, I keep checking the level but it is not going down, anyone have the answer to that? oh, by the way, how do some of you guys attach a photo of your cars, i can't find anywhere on this page to post a photo of my car, thanks

Re: Coolant drops under my car

I have a 3.4L 02 Impala. I have had 2 intake manifolds put on this vehicle. Both times, I have had to have the coolant level sensor in the radiator replaced. When the car was loosing coolant, the sensor was not telling the computer that it was low. When the car was almost dry, the sensor told the computer to notify me about the Low Coolant Level. Each time the manifold gasket was approx $1000 to fix.

There have been many issues with the intake manifold and cooling system on the Impala. I never saw any anit-freeze on the ground, since the manifold gasket was shot, it was leaking into the exhaust manifold and sent out the exhaust.

Check all levels, and check the oil, looks for signs of anti-freeze mixed in. There have been other threads, in fact many threads about this common issue.
