Does any of the newer Dodge radios like the Infinity systems do mp3 cds and also give the name/radio station/artist on the display? I'm looking to get a 1500 Ram Quad PU yr about 2003-2005

Yes, I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 and it has a cd and cass player - it will display radio station and song being played I don't know about the mp3 capability.

I am have problems with my radio, it seems to work but does not produce any sound. I have swapped it with another radio that I knew worked and had the same problem. I checked the fuses and found two fuses one for the radio and one for the radio amp. I replaced both with no help. Question : Does the Infinity radio in Dodge Rams have a separate external amp that could have gone bad

As far as I know all factory infinity sound systems use an external amp. So I would try and track that down and I have heard that the wires in the door speakers can be weak so if they broke inside they could have fried the amp.

Also I have a 1999 JGC with the infinity sound system and it runs 2 seperate 7 + pin connections to the amp so if one of those wires is bad or broke!?
