what sensor is this???
my truck recently overheated like crazy... after gettin her home and inspecting the damage... i noticed an electrical socket with the connecting end of a sensor that had been burnt off... after looking in the area the wire runs too... i unscrewed what looks exactly like a coolant temp sensor, only thing is is that it was mounted on the block... and not the manifold like ECTS's usually are... and after reading the manual i found the ACTUAL temp sensor in the manifold right where it says it should be/// now i dont know wtf this sensor is... def not oil pressure, or knock either!!!!!
its a 94 W motor 4.3 and the sensor is in between the first and second spark plugs on the passenger side of the motor HELP!!!!

Re: what sensor is this???
There are two coolant temperature sensors, one for the computer and one on the other side for the dash temp gauge.

Re: what sensor is this???
As BlazerLT said there are 2 coolant sensors.
One pcm and one dash gauges/light. The one between the spark plugs is for the dash gauges/light.
