Yamaha YZR-M1 '05 Test bike

I stared this bike a few weeks ago. But till now the progress is very slow. I started with the body parts. Each part took more than 1 hour to apply the cf decal. And there is still some left. All of them is covered by 1 piece of decal. I hope you like it

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 '05 Test bike

Are you telling me that those cowls are covered by just one decal piece each?? That's totally crazy. No matter what this is the best cf livery decal application I've seen on a bike EVER. Better clear those cowls faster than quick so you don't mess them up...
My hat off.

yea, fantastic job on the decals! don't know how you achieved such a perfect application. Could I be so rude as to ask what make of cf decal you use?
Can't wait to see the updates.

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 '05 Test bike

Thanks guys

This is Modeller's CF decal. I used a lot of MrMark softer and was working on each part more then 1 hour. I think the key is to use finger instead of brush. Also it is very important to keep wet with water or softer that part of the decal which is not smoothend and the moment. First I always smoothend the biggest part, like upper part of the tank or the fron fender, than the smaller areas. But it is important not to let dry any area which is not finished.
Hope this help

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 '05 Test bike

Awesome c/f work there had started doing the exact same test bike about 3-4 months ago and only got as far as putting c/f on tail section (which was a real bas***d) one side cowl and nose cowl which not very happy with so will have to strip and redo after seeing this work
