REAR tire alignment

I just changed a control arm bushing and control rod end on my driver side. Alignment’s were on sale at the local big store chain so I took in the old ’98 venture for an alignment.

Front was off (as expected). However, they also tried to sell me a rear “shim” alignment. I just had a rear shim put in 13mths ago for a rear alignment, and now they want to replace the shim for a different one. It’s a $100 job so I told them to pass on it.

The specified range for a rear tire “TOE” is -0.15 to 0.15. My rear left is running at 0.24.

Total Tow for the entire rear is within specs.

Should I mess with this? This is not a luxury driving machine.

I am getting some extra tire noise but I think that’s due to the new tires we just put on.

Re: REAR tire alignment

There wll be a slight off track issue with uneven toe in the rear, possibly some slight tire wear on the side that is out, no big deal here.
