Help !!! Vibration

A few weeks ago I heard a loud crunching noise from the left front of my truck while doing a right turn on an icy road. Well I did find a bad hub assembly and replaced it. Since then I have not had noises but it seems like there is a vibration at 65/75MPH. Could the loud crunching noise have been a bad CV joint?? It happened when the wheels were turned to the right (sharp) CV joint seems like its's tight, but should I replace it?? Thanks for all replies. The vibration seems to be from the left front.

Re: Help !!! Vibration

Did you check and make sure your wheel is tight. I'm not saying this to say you'd be stupid to not tighten a wheel. I'm saying (specially on Mag wheels) your wheels should be re-torqued after a couple of days.

Yes that is the 1st thing I did. I went over all the bolts and nuts and made sure they were all tight. I al leaning towards the CV Joint. Car has 130K now so I guess that I will replace the CV and shaft.

Further on this matter....I was told thet the Explorers are notorius for having air in the p/s systems causing the same symptons as I have. I guess that if you move the wheels whel the car is onstands it will cause air to get into the system somehow and hence the problems. We'll try and see what happens.
