Wix filters seem to make a difference

It's just a visual difference, but after a couple of changes of oil in my VW and the Rodeo, I'm noticing the oil isn't jet black as it was after using a Purolator or Fram filter. I had one Purolator left on the garage shelf, so I used it for today's change. All of my changes are done within 100 miles of 3K, so it wasn't due to a shorter interval.

As a side note, I drove for about a mile behind the Rodeo the other night and was pleased to see nothing coming out of the tailpipe. What a great truck it's been!

Re: Wix filters seem to make a difference

Wix filters are most certainly top notch. BTW, Napa filters are Wix.

Re: Wix filters seem to make a difference

Yes, I LOVE them - wished I'd thought to try them sooner. I have used them solidly for the last year on the Rodeo, the new Yota, Diesel, and the riding lawn tractor.

Re: Wix filters seem to make a difference

Worked at a parts store parttime. They had a wix demo and the difference is amazing. I have used them ever since on all my vehicles. Napa are wix and at that time their belts and hoses were gates.

Re: Wix filters seem to make a difference

Im not happy with their wedsite at all! They have my transmission filter listed as the 4L30E transmission filter and not the30-40LE transmission. Andie

Re: Wix filters seem to make a difference

I have been using NAPA Gold for last few oil change on my truck but did not notice the different, some one has mention to me about Ams Oil filter. Do any body knows what quality on it? Guy at NAPA store said it is good stuff but I can't find it here.

Re: Wix filters seem to make a difference

If you mean Amsoil filter, it will be a Wix for sure or a Donldson in some cases. Andie
