cooling fan rewire problem
ok, i got my raciator fan and condensor fan working fine, they come on and work alright. so what i wanted to do was rewire the radiator fan to be on all the time. i took out the appropriate relay and put a wire in. several fusable links later i found teh right holes to put the wire in. now everything is fine, when i put the key in, the fan turns on, everything appears to be fine, except...
when the car is running and i turn the key to turn the car off, the car runs for about a half second more and then shuts off, instead of immediately shutting off. when i take that wire out and put the relay back in, it shuts off fine. has anybody else experienced this, or knows what it might be? |

Re: cooling fan rewire problem
Doesn't seem like a big problem there. Seems to me that when you shut the car off, yeah, the engine cuts power, but the electrical (in that area specific) could still be flowing just a little more.
Also makes sense that with it being the cooling system, that you usually want it to run a little bit after car is off so it can cool down, but if it does it with the relay, maybe not then. That's what I think though.
