finaly some progress

finaly i got the pistons put on the rods new rod bolts installed
and got my cam Advertised Duration 244/ 254, Lift .510/ .533 from summit also found a set of heads with 2.02s pocket ports polished 64 cc with screw in studs guide plates and new valve springs for 75 bucks only problem is i will need keepers retainers guides seals and asembly

now im waiting on my crank to geet polished and i can start the short block

Your building a new motor and putting a 244/254 cam in it?

Im sorry but what a waste. Hopefully thats not advertised duration..

Well i was about to say if thats the advertised duration its going to really suck..

What the advertised duration on it? If its going to be on the street i guess that will do but if its going to a drag strip you might think about something with a little more thump like the 279 in/286ex (312 in./325 ex. advertised) cam.
