Please, HELP!!!

hey guys. this is my problem
the other day i was installing a new set of headlight projectors to my car and i had to get voltage from the turning signals for the halos to turn on... the thing is i didn't disconnect the battery while doing this and i payed the price, believe me! i got the positive from the turning signal and for the negative, i did ground to the chassis.
when i started the car, the SRS light wouldn't turn off in the gauges and i noticed also that the lights for the gears (Parkng, reverse, etc.) wouldn't turn on. when i put in the reverse, the car bumped back... the back-up lights wouldn't turn on also. When i put the car into drive gear, it bumped forward and this is the thing that bugs me: the car starts running very slow and then as it builds up speed it goes normal. I think it is stuck in fourth gear and that is why the gear lights don't turn on when i shift from parking. The service engine light also turned on once i drove the car for a couple of feet between my garage and the front of my house!
please help, i don't know what to do! i can't seem to find the problem!
that day while i was trying to install the new headlights, i was also trying to take out the wiper motor because it's not working properly (it won't stop when it's supposed to and the delay doesn't work also) i got to disconnect and reconnect the wiper motor a couple of times before i started the car... i don't know if that is related also
any kind of help is very much appreciated!
