EVO IX (Fujimi)

It's my virgin attempt on cars. Went quite a hassle since it's my first time. Stripped the paint twice due to negligence. So 2 RalliArt decals on the doors got destroyed. Not giving up, so after about 1 month plus, I managed to complete it.

Basically it's complete stock except dat I tried to scratchbuild the exhaust mufflers. And also I tinted the headlamps and tail-lights using 'car window tint stickers'.

Any comments is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: EVO IX (Fujimi)

That looks really nice. Are they the standard wheels that came with the kit? They really look good in black.Which red paint did you use on the bodywork? It looks really bright.Nice work on the exhaust as well,it finishes the back end off nicely. The smoked lights using the window tint film is a great idea, they look very realistic.Overall a really good model, well done.

Re: EVO IX (Fujimi)

Yup, those are standard wheels oob. Body colour used is TS-8 (Italian Red). It's my first attempt lowering the wheels too. Anyway thanks for the encouraging words guys. I'm now at my work-bench working on my next kit.

Re: EVO IX (Fujimi)

One month? I've been working on the same kits for years and still haven't finished one. It looks like this turned out very nicely, and was worth any hasslesyou had. It looks very nice.

Re: EVO IX (Fujimi)

Clean build! My first car sure didnt look like this... mine had glue marks, finger prints and cat hair lol

Only minor thing that I could see is that the exhaust is hanging out a little bit to far back...Hope to see more of your future builds, Well done!

Re: EVO IX (Fujimi)

Yeah, I kinda agree abt the muffler sticking abit too far out. Something to take note of next time. All I can say is, Never give up. And take your time.

Like wat happened abt 5-6 years ago. I just lose it, no patience. So my entire 'half-baked' car ended up in the bin.

Re: EVO IX (Fujimi)

you joined three years ago and only posted 4 times on this post?? crazy....

anyway, love the car man. Gorgeous!!!!! only thing I don't really like is the muffler design (just my opinion of course). I think it would look better with a bit longer tip and sunk a little more under the bumper, other than that I'm in love
