engine problems

I have a 97 neon 2.0L DOHC. can anyone tell me, for sure, if it is an interference or non-interference motor? i have been been told both but no one can tell me for sure.

It is non interferance.Only Chrysler engine that is interferance is the 2.7 when the timing chain breaks.

when your timing belt breaks your pistons will make sweet sweet love to your valves in a 2.0

also 2.4 stratus motors are ok when the belt breaks there wont be any damage when there belts breaks you will just need a tow home

No, it is an interference engine. The timing belt breaks, there go the valves with it.
