paint

I have a black 1996 S-10. What is the original paint used from the facory? I believe it had an integrated clear. What paints and primers are compatible?
I've heard various things about urethane enamels, polyurethane and acrylic enamels. I plan on repainting it the same color. I've gotten quotes from a couple of paint shops, and both said to expect a little orange peel. They also couldn't tell me which was better, only that the more expensive ones have longer warranties.
