subaru modification

Hi i have recently bought an o2 reg wrx. Iam now hoping to put the new (03onward) front end on it. Mines is the bugeye shape and i want to change it to the squarer lights. I know it shall need new wines bonnet lights and bumper. Iam prepared to buy all this but i just wonderd if anyone knew if this would definetly fit on to it. Anyone who knows anything please get in touch.
Cheers

Re: subaru modification

Bonnet, fenders, hood and bumper will all fit, IIRC you will need the front bumper member too. Check on scoobymods.com as I am sure they have detailed how to do the front end swap.

Re: subaru modification

yup, the conversion is completely doable, you just need the tools and materials.

IMO opinion though, I don't think the bugeye shape is that bad (maybe cos I have one haha), it's just the headlight style that's bad. Try picking up a set of bugeye STi headlights, makes it look MUCH better:

I'm a fan of the '04-'06 style. I just can't get used to the bugeye, but I did see a cool set of front headlights that were on a WRX STi rally car in a picture at the local Subaru dealer. They were just modified/painted versions of the STi lights, but still cool.
