Car update, GSX almost done :)
Sup guys, I havent been on since forever but school and all got me all wraped up. So last month I decided to start getting the GSX on the road. I got my dads Ford for free so I havent payed much attention to the GSX. I got a 6 bolt block and build it with ross and big rods. It was build to handle some power. Then I kinda went to a party where there was the fastest GSX in the city (he has a 1st gen block with stock internals ). He got me mad talking crap about my engine. So now I have a 2.3L stroker in my garage and I sold my 6bolt for cheap to my friend who just got a GST. The stroker has eagle rods, wiseco pistons 8.8.1. , 4g64. Its a SBR stroker. Sold my 16G and got a huge Garrett ( oh yeah so big I cant fit it ). Ordered racing bucket seats today and a 8 point roll cage. By the end of the week I am getting that ACT 3200 clutch from extremepsi.com I will have some numbers this baby will make in about 2 months since I am in no hurry to finish. I was just woundering, I am getting a ECU from a 95GST. So i want DSMLINK, where do I sent the ECU to so I can get it chiped. Also, any one here on the site running a stroker? I was woundering what kind of ponies it can produce without blowing away. I do know stroker engine are capable of more horsepower then 2.0L but any one know what would be the safe zone for a 2.3L SBR stroker. And I hope I break it in right since I really hate to see it fall apart before I get to race it
( of course after I break it in )Oh almost forgot, I was woundering what kind of punishment can the 1997 GSX 5speed tranny can take. Should I be calling Sheperd soon or TRE ? I will be visiting the site more frequintly now since I am putting the new engine in and I got tons of cables and wires in my engine bay I dont know where they go hehehe ( my friends GST will be parked next to mine so I can figure out where all the vacuume hoses and all go ) but I will be on here from time to time. Wish me luck

Re: Car update, GSX almost done :)
you send the ecu right back to the dsmlink company and they will do it for you. I don't know there adress but you have to pay a bit for shipping. I've never done it but thats my understanding.
you need to tell them default injector size.

Re: Car update, GSX almost done :)
I think about 600hp is a good number for that motor, maybe even 700. And yes, you should get TRE or Shep on the phone, as that stock tranny probably won't last more than 5 launches.

Re: Car update, GSX almost done :)
600 hundred is about right for that motor. That's about the same as my 2.3 except I used JE pistons.
And yeah, with the mods you are deing your stock tranny isn't going to last very long.
