2000 trans?
this is in response to an earlier post. my 2000 dakota is not shifting correct. i had it checked out and they said the pressures were messed up. so i changeed fluid and filter, with atf+4 and the problem continues. what else could i check before shelling out $700 buck to rebuild it? HELP!!!!

Do you know what trans you have? If you have the 46RE or 42RE and you have pressure problems You can go to your dodge dealer and get the Govenor solenoind and Transducer and replace them. You will have to drop the pan to replace these. If you have the square black plastic transducer all you have to do is remove the 2 25 torx and 3 of the 7/16 bolts and remove the tin cover. Re-torque the 7/16 blots too 100 inch lbs and the 25 torx the 50 inch lbs. Also lube the rubber orings then install. Any Codes?
